Power is out with violent storms rolling through last night. And since we are on a well, no power = no water, so going to stay home from work today. At least the temperature has gone down a bit...
I'm starting to get worried about my fish, been 12 hours with no bubbles for the tank. And we might have to have a big BBQ and pig-out food-fest of all the stuff in the freezer if we don't get power back soon - which really doesn't sound so bad now that I say it out loud...forced to sit outside around the BBQ on what has become a nice sunny day and eat all we can eat...ya, I've probably had worse days... The real pain is the bathroom situation...no water is no fun.
No power means no computer and no blog updates. I can do the mobile blogging thing but they don't publish until I go in and click "Publish"...
I just rechecked the freezer, the ice cream sandwiches are toast (no pun intended...which means the rest of the stuff is also probably thawed...definitely a big BBQ tonight.
Delayed blote - mobile blog problems
Stuffed - ate way too much. Had to cook everything from the freezer due to the extended power outage - which wasn't too much thank goodness! 6 "8oz super burgers", 3 Mandarin chicken breasts, 3 Mediterranean chicken breasts, and a full pack of shrimp. We are hoping that the individually packed salmon fillets are still okay. The popsicles are popsipuddles and I'm afraid to check the icecream sandwiches. We will have to check everything that's way at the back - probably some tossing to do, but think we did okay overall...
