I don't understand...

So, there is a Sears warehouse on my route to work and the staff have been on strike since April. There are signs up around the area that say "don't shop at Sears"... Is it just me or is this REALLY short sighted? If they are successful in convincing people to stop shopping at Sears, then once the strike is over - guess what - sales will be down, therefore revenue will be down - and layoffs! In my opinion, the strikers should be saying "Shop at Sears!!", this will drive more sales and revenue, and then the company will be stronger to support more jobs and higher pay going forward. Maybe I'm missing the whole thing, but that's my thinking...
